What do Lions love to do?

Rugeley & District Lions Club was formed in 1992.  We are a group of volunteers who love to help the community of Rugeley and surrounding villages.  We raise money throughout the year by running various projects.

Our projects to date are:

• Annual Christmas Toy Collection for Rugeley.
• Santa Sleigh for Rugeley & District (in partnership with Rugeley Rotary Club).
• Helping at local events e.g., Rugeley Charter Fair and Brereton Carnival.
• Twice yearly historical lectures held at St Augustine’s Church, Rugeley, starring Lesley Smith.
• St Georges Day Concerts held at St Augustine’s Church.
• Fundraising cream teas for St Giles Hospice.
• Fundraising activities for Breast Cancer Charity ‘wear it pink’, held at the Victory Church, Rugeley.
• Sponsoring and helping at the Community Garden at St Augustine’s field, Rugeley.
• Annual Charter Dinner Dances.
• Providing furniture on request for the less fortunate, who are setting up home for the first time.
• Supplying Eco reading books to local schools.
• Donating food to local food banks
• Donations of money to local Charities as well as providing funding for wheelchairs and equipment to local people.
