Rugeley and District Lions Out and About 2024

As Lions we think it is important to be seen out and about, helping the community in any way we can.

Teddy Bears Picnic 24th August 2024

We have had a great time at the Teddy Bear Picnic at St. Augustine’s field, Rugeley organised by the Victory Church. Our teddy bear Tombola proved very popular with the children . Great day which should be repeated each year children loved the bouncy castles and inflatables and our two friendly lion mascots.

The Rosa Community garden monthly session took place this morning open to volunteers and families alike . Normally attended by our own John Morgan . Today President Debra Coburn attended with her granddaughter Aurora . Lovely morning digging up a great crop of potatoes and garlic . The veg produced is for members of the public to help themselves to and any left over is donated to the foodbank . The monthly gardening session always starts at 10am and is always followed by drinks and cake . Pictured are the blueberry muffins made by Judith. A very enjoyable activity and service for our community.
