A fabulous evening of pink, music and community spirit has raised an incredible £740 for two breast cancer charities.
Rugeley & District Lions Club hosted its Wear It Pink fundraising event at the Pear Tree Club on Thursday 15th October, bringing together local ladies for an enjoyable evening in support of Breast Cancer Now and the Katherine Allport Foundation Charity. The event was a fantastic success, with attendees embracing the occasion in their wonderful pink outfits. Singer and good friend of the club, Becca Gee, provided the entertainment, keeping everyone dancing and creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the evening.
The fundraising total of £740 included a generous £100 donation from the Pear Tree Club itself. Club President Debra Coburn was delighted to receive the contribution from licensee Mark Eustace. Rugeley & District Lions Club would like to extend it’s sincere thanks to Mark and the Pear Tree Club for their generosity and continued support. A huge thank you also goes to everyone who attended, those who kindly donated raffle prizes, and all who helped make the evening such a memorable success.
The event was organised and supported by Lionesses President Debra Coburn, Elaine Morgan and Mandy Shaw. Special thanks go to Mandy for encouraging local ladies to attend and helping bring everyone together in support of these important causes.
The evening demonstrated once again what can be achieved when a community comes together with enthusiasm, generosity and a shared desire to make a difference.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Wear It Pink fundraiser. Your kindness has helped raise £740 for two charities working to support those affected by breast cancer.
Together, we make a difference!
