Rugeley & District Lions Club were delighted to be part of the Community Day at Rugeley Rose Theatre, bringing together a wonderful mix of local community groups and organisations.

The event was opened by James Lewis, who will be familiar to many of our members following the Lions’ recent donation towards his fundraising for St Giles Hospice. James took on the incredible challenge of dribbling a football all the way from Marrakech to Rugeley to raise funds for St Giles — a fantastic achievement that certainly deserves recognition!

The Community Day provided a great opportunity to meet other local groups, share ideas and learn more about the valuable work being carried out throughout Rugeley and the surrounding area. There was a wonderful atmosphere, with plenty of enthusiasm and community spirit.

We were also very impressed by the fantastic refurbishment of the Rose Theatre. The bar and foyer areas have been given a fresh new look and are looking very smart indeed, creating a bright and welcoming environment for everyone visiting the theatre.

It was a pleasure to be part of such a positive community event and to see so many local organisations coming together. As Lions, we are proud to support initiatives that help bring our community together and celebrate the fantastic people and organisations who make Rugeley such a special place.
