The Rugeley & District Lions Club recently hosted its Annual Charter Dinner at the beautiful Ingestre Golf Club—an evening filled with celebration, recognition, and community spirit.
🏅 Honouring Outstanding Service
We proudly recognized four exceptional members—Jane Stevenson, Pauline Holmes, John Morgan, and Elaine Morgan—with the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF) Awards, presented by 2nd Vice District Chairman Ken Topping. These individuals now join an elite group of six club members who have received this distinguished honor.
🎖️ Celebrating Long-Term Commitment
Certificates of appreciation were awarded to:
- Peter Fielding – for 30 years of organizing the beloved Rugeley Santa Sleigh.
- Club President Debra Coburn – for 10 years of leading the Rugeley Toy Appeal, helping thousands of children receive gifts at Christmas.
- Jane Stevenson – for 10 years of hosting Macmillan Coffee Mornings, supporting cancer care initiatives.
🎤 Entertainment & Speeches
Guests enjoyed a delicious meal followed by a fantastic performance from Singer Rich Parsons. The evening was expertly hosted by Town Crier Adrian Basford, whose energy and charm brought the event to life.
