We wanted to give our community in Rugeley a FREE tea party for senior citizens to commentate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day! We are happy to say we achieved this on Thursday 8th May 2025 at the fantastic Staffordshire Coffee Lounge with a 1940s sing a long by local singer Jayne Bond. We had a most enjoyable afternoon with our guests who, were having a great time too. It was great to see everyone singing and waving their flags.
Lions Debra (Club President), Peter, Pauline, John, Elaine, Jane and Chrissie worked tirelessly by waiting on, running a raffle and joined in with the singing and dancing.
The staff , lead by Jane at the Staffordshire Coffee Lounge put on a delicious afternoon tea and dressed the venue perfectly.
Singer Jayne Bond gave a fabulous performance and Town Crier Adrian gave his wonderful proclamations befitting of the occasion . In short we had a brilliant time.
